The South – East Region, as all development regions in Romania, represents the framework for the elaboration, implementation and evaluation of the regional development policy, and for collecting the specific statistical data according to European regulations issued by EUROSTAT for NUTS 2 level territorial classification available in the European Union.
The South-East Regional Development Agency established in 1999 is a non-governmental and non-profit body of public utility, with legal personality, operating in the field of regional development. Its mission is to promote the socio-economic sustainable development of the South-East Development Region through: partnerships (local, regional and international), elaboration of integrated development services, implementation of regional development programmes, promotion of economic cooperation.
The South-East Regional Development Agency is responsible for the regional development policy programming and implementation. Under this framework it organises and manages the implementation of the Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013 (ROP 2007 - 2013) in the South-East Region.
The South-East Regional Development Agency (SE RDA) is also involved in promoting, developing and implementing international cooperation through projects financed from EU funds. It has a rich project management experience and is currently involved as a lead partner or a partner in projects funded under INTERREGIVC Programme.
EUROSCAPES - Green Management Plans for European Urban and Peri-urban Landscapes is a Regional Initiative project financed within the INTERREG IV C Programme.
